AIDAnova is a modern cruise ship built for AIDA Cruises at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. The vessel is widely recognized as the world’s first cruise ship powered entirely by liquefied natural gas (LNG), introducing a new benchmark for environmentally advanced cruise ship technology and energy-efficient passenger operations.
2018
During the construction of AIDAnova (Hull No. S696) in 2018, Prime Baltic Associaties carried out installation works including catering equipment installation together with plumbing and electrical works. These activities supported the development of key onboard service areas and technical infrastructure required for passenger operations.
2019
In the following construction phase between in 2019, PBA teams continued their involvement in the AIDAnova project by delivering HVAC engineering works, extensive cabin installation works, and piping systems installation, including stainless steel 316L welding. These works formed part of the new construction and engineering scope required for the vessel’s onboard technical and accommodation systems.
